Our Story

MAV Consulting Group (MAV) was founded in 2023 by Maegen Ayala. Maegen has dedicated her career to the aviation industry for over twenty years, beginning as an architect for a national aviation consulting firm designing terminal projects and other facilities at airports across the United States and Caribbean. After nearly 10 years as an architect in the industry, Maegen then made a career shift to gain experience as an airport owner and operator, as an Airside Operations Officer at Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT). Then went on to become the Senior Airport Architect for CLT, leading the planning, design, and construction of their multi-billion-dollar terminal program. From there, Maegen shifted back over to consulting for a national advisory and program management firm, and was the National Aviation Market Leader responsible for the entire business unit, managing teams and staff across the country supporting various airports.

Mark Wiebke joined MAV in early 2024 as a Senior Director. Mark is an aviation industry veteran and aviator. He retired from the City of Charlotte after holding various roles at Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT) for nearly 34 years, including being the Planning Director and Assistant Aviation Director of Facilities. He has overseen the planning, design and construction of a vast array of capital development projects over his career including runways, taxiways, drainage, and lighting improvement projects, as well as managed the airport's multi-billion-dollar capital improvement program.

MAV is a woman-owned planning, architecture and consulting firm and is a certified Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE).
